ULTEM 4000-7401 is amorphous reinforced polyetherimide (PEI) compound, supplied in black opaque pellet form. This standard-flow specialty grade combines glass fiber and PTFE dual fillers, designed for sliding, friction-critical parts that demand high heat resistance and self-lubricating performance. The suffix -7401 represents pre-colored black formulation, matching natural counterpart ULTEM 4000-1100.It retains all core PEI high-temperature performance, with drastically reduced friction coefficient and superior wear resistance compared to standard glass-filled PEI. Fully RoHS and REACH compliant, inherently halogen-free flame retardant, this grade is widely adopted for precision moving structural parts under continuous high-temperature load across automotive, electronics, semiconductor and industrial automation industries
