KetaSpire PEEK (polyetheretherketone) offers the best combination of fatigue resistance and chemical resistance. PEEK chemical resistance is similar to that of PPS (polyphenylene sulfide). However, PEEK can operate at higher temperatures and retains its excellent mechanical properties at continuous-use temperatures up to 240 °C (464 °F), allowing it to replace metal in severe end-use environments. Glass fiber-reinforced and carbon-fiber-reinforced grades, as well as specialty grades, provide a wide range of performance options.

KetaSpire PEEK XT delivers the chemical resistance and ease of processing of standard PEEK along with improved mechanical and electrical properties. Compared to standard PEEK, it has a 20 °C (36 °F) higher glass transition temperature and a 45 °C (81 °F) higher melting temperature.

While other high-temperature polyketones like PEK, PEKK and PEKEKK exhibit thermal properties comparable to KetaSpire PEEK XT, they lack the chemical resistance of both standard PEEK and KetaSpire PEEK XT.
